Walled Lake Central's Addy Wilson wins powerlifting state title

Walled Lake Central's Addy Wilson stood at the top of the podium on Saturday afternoon at Lake Orion High School as the strongest female in the state in the 132 lbs. Division at the Michigan High School Powerlifting Association (MHSPLA) state meet.
Wilson claimed the state title totaling 705 lbs. in her three lifts. The Vikings' junior squatted 240 lbs., bench pressed 135 lbs. and deadlifted 330 lbs.
Walled Lake Central senior Dylan Akers also earned All-State honors finishing sixth overall in the 275 lbs. Division. He totaled 1245 lbs. in his three lifts with a 515 lbs. squat, 285 lbs. bench press and 445 lbs. deadlift.
