Six students will represent Walled Lake Consolidated Schools at the DECA International Career Development Conference

Two teams and two individuals will head to Atlanta, Georgia to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) April 25-28.

Walled Lake Northern junior David Devaney is headed back to the ICDC for the second-straight year. He will once again compete in Accounting Applications after winning a test medal and was named an Overall Finalist this past weekend at the state conference.

Four Walled Lake Western students will compete as two teams after being named Overall Finalists. Varun Tangirala and Nicholas Vo qualified in Hospitality Services Team Decision Making for the second-straight year, as well as won a Role Play 2 medal. Shivani Aji and Kira Havard will make their first trip to the ICDC qualifying in Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making. Aditya Chitrapu will also join them in Atlanta as an Alternate Qualifier in Restaurant and Food Service Management.
