Dan Holland named new assistant principal and athletics coordinator at Walled Lake Northern

Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ administration is proud to announce that Dan Holland will be the new assistant principal and athletics coordinator at Walled Lake Northern High School.
“I am very excited to be joining the Walled Lake Northern staff and look forward to being part of the greatness that is the Northern Nation!” said Holland.
Holland arrived in Walled Lake in 2000. He started as a design tech teacher at Clifford H. Smart Middle before quickly moving up to a leadership role. Holland has since served as Dean of Students at Walnut Creek and Sarah G. Banks middle schools, assistant principal at Walled Lake Central High School, and most recently as assistant principal at Clifford H. Smart Middle School for the past 15 years.
“I am so thankful for being given the opportunity to serve the Smart community as assistant principal for the past 15 years,” said Holland. “As I will miss you dearly at Smart, I am fortunate that I get to continue our journey in our school community as I move over to Walled Lake Northern. “
“It has been my pleasure to learn and grow with you and your kids,” continued Holland. “I thank you for trusting me and our incredible staff to help your child prosper during the ‘middle years’ of their educational journey.”
“We are excited to welcome Dan Holland to his new role as assistant principal at Walled Lake Northern,” said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Michael Lonze. “Mr. Holland is a fantastic leader who brings over two decades of experience, deep knowledge of our District and a strong commitment to supporting students and staff. His steady leadership and student-centered approach will be a great asset to the Walled Lake Northern community.”
