Cookies For Kindness

Kindness is contagious and that's something that is spreading throughout Ms. Shelby and Ms. Rachel's classroom at the Walled Lake Early Childhood Center.

Ms. Shelby and Ms. Rachel created a Kindness Jar, where they celebrate each time a student goes out of their way to do something kind. Students get to put a pom pom in the Kindness Jar for each act of kindness the teachers see. Once the jar is filled, the class gets to vote on a special Kindness Jar Party. The class has done so many kind acts like helping friends clean up their messes, helping a friend when they are hurt, sharing their toys/art materials, encouraging one another when a friend is feeling frustrated, or even just saying kind words to another that they filled up the jar in just one short month!

The vote came in and their first Kindness Jar Party was a Cookie Party!
