The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ Board of Education appointed Andrea Hasse the new principal at Pleasant Lake Elementary during its July 8, 2025 meeting.

“It is truly my honor to serve Pleasant Lake, and I am humbled to support and nurture the students, families and staff that make this community so vibrant,” said Hasse.

Hasse comes to Walled Lake with 27 years of experience in education having served as an upper elementary teacher, behavior and reading specialist/coach and principal. She’s spent the past nine years as an elementary principal in both Berkley School District and Romeo Community Schools, most recently leading Rogers Elementary School.

“My goal this year is to get to know our community and to celebrate the power of synergy and teamwork, as I firmly believe we are better together,” said Hasse. “Your input and involvement are invaluable as we work toward our shared goals, and I look forward to celebrating our collective successes as we learn and grow in the year ahead.”

"We are thrilled to welcome Andrea Hasse to Walled Lake as the new principal of Pleasant Lake Elementary,” said Dr. Michael Lonze, Superintendent of Schools. “Andrea brings a wealth of experience, a deep passion for student growth and a strong belief in the power of community.”

“Her commitment to collaboration and building strong relationships makes her a fantastic fit for Pleasant Lake, and we’re excited for all she will bring to this vibrant school community,” added Dr. Lonze.
